Two Months
Dear Meredith, You are two months old! Where is the time going? At this rate I fear that I am going to wake up tomorrow and you are going to be shaving your legs, driving, buying tampons, and dating…please time, slow down! I also have to laugh at myself, because it has been an entire two months and I still have not been able to shower when we are home alone together and I still have not mastered the skill of getting ANYthing done during the day. Perhaps as more time passes I will get better at these things.
Memorial Day at Grandma's House
Meredith took her first big road trip on Saturday May 23rd for the annual Memorial Day family dinner at her Great Grandma Hatch's house. We had such a wonderful time. The day was perfect! Meredith was so well behaved in the car (she slept), the weather was nice and warm, and the food (as always) was delicious! It was a special day as she was able to meet much of her extended family on the Hatch side (Becky's Mom's side). We all spent the day talking, laughing, and eating with a large gathering of the family.
One Month - a quick update
Meredith turned one month old on May 15th. It has been an amazing month as we get to know her and we have already been able to see her change and grow so much! She had a doctor's appointment yesterday and we were thrilled to hear that she is doing perfectly well! After a rough start for Meredith in the weight-gain department, she is now 10 pounds and 13 ounces and 22 inches long! She is making up for lost time.

Here is a compilation of some of Meredith's first month activities... Enjoy!
3 weeks
Dearest Meredith, You have been in our lives now for three weeks. I had planned to write something to you to celebrate your first month, but since you are napping now and have given me some time, and if I have learned anything it is to count on things to change, I figured I would take advantage of this time and let you know how our lives have changed in the last few weeks.
The newest member of our family...
We are pleased to introduce to you Meredith Joy Fiske. She was born April 15th at 3:15am and weighs in at 8 pounds 7 ounces. She is 20.5 inches long. All three of us are doing well.
Update - 4 days past due date
Update:
No, there is no baby yet. Sorry to disappoint. I thought it was prudent to provide you with a brief update so you know what life is like in the Fiske household these days.
Random thoughts - 2 days past due date
Things I am looking forward to after having the baby (besides the two most obvious things, those being meeting and holding the baby, and NOT being pregnant anymore):
- Being able to sit without my stomach resting on my lap
- The end of the “is the baby here yet” phone calls
- The freedom to make a phone call with out the person receiving the phone call freaking out because they think we are calling to say the baby was born (though this won’t bother me if that is why I am calling).
Nursery!
We are pleased to announce that our nursery is complete! We are very pleased with how it turned out. We have had a great time selecting items for our little one and creating a room that we think she will enjoy. We are happy that we have turned such a small space into a functional and comfortable room (for parents and baby). The only thing left to do is display her name on the wall. But for that, you will need to wait. We will announce her name after she is born. For now, enjoy the pictures!
What a weekend!

This weekend my mom and sister hosted our first baby shower. It was awesome! I am so amazed at the generosity of others. It was so special to celebrate the upcoming arrival of our little one with people that we love. And now it is so fun to have baby stuff in the house - it makes it so exciting! The photo attached is of the quilt that Josh's mom made for the baby, which she quilted by HAND. It will go beautifully in our nursery. As the nursery comes together we will post pictures, before that happens though, there is a bit of organizing to be done.
